I was standing on a sidewalk watching a bird
chirping away on a telephone wire. A scientist happened by and asked if I knew
what the bird was saying. I shook my head and he stated, “He is saying, ‘if you
can hear me you are too close’.” As he continued on a pastor noticed me
noticing the bird and remarked, “He is singing praises to his maker”. Not long
after a philosopher came by and tried to convince me that the chirping existed
but not the bird. Finally I walked over to the bird and looked up and asked him
what he was saying. He just pooped on my head and flew away, so I learned the
answer depends on who you ask. Oh, and never ask a bird anything, apparently
they are very ill tempered.
