i left her a voice message
sent her a text
and waited till the coffee was
two hours cold
then went for an early evening
walk
ordered a drink without any
talk
got asked to leave at 2 a.m.
walked until i was at my front
door
barely escaping the sunrise
i close my eyes and shut off my
empty phone
