october’s end

all my pretty flowers

blooming after hours

cemetery dances

dark corners and glances

monsters, ghouls and goblins

tombs empty and open

human flesh devoured

in the midnight hour

mortal souls are stolen

intestines and colons

are served on paper plates

as victims meet their fate

dead films distribution

make their contribution

to the fright and horror

dead of night explorers

where maniacs with knives

have joined the ghoulish hive

cemetery danger

could just be a stranger

not a paranormal

or citizen of hell

anyone, anything

could ring the tolling bell

grab your cross and garlic

baseball bat and starlet

fill your sack with candy

teenagers get randy

die amid distraction

with coming attractions

where monsters at midnight

walk by candle light

of a jack o lantern

as real life vandals burn

old abandon buildings

fire acts as gilding

while costumes trick or treat

and beg for something sweet

the veil so thin the dead

show up and cause us dread

imaginations keen

welcome to halloween
