said many ways in times of old

beauty depends on who beholds

but all who see you stop and sigh

that for your kiss they’d gladly die

 

if all who see you do agree

then beauty is implicitly

defined within your pulchritude

as i have said with certitude

 

that lines of grace upon your face

made holy ground of your birthplace

within your form all that’s performed

is what to beauty must conform

you’re not defined as beautiful

but beauty is defined by you
