treasure taken to the grave

oh take away this poetry of words with wry and wit
a thousand years, a trillion tears, a holy night of writ
could all be damned at poetry slams if i could know your sighs
cultivated from my kiss and my hands upon your thighs

the sun could sink into the sea and never rise again
for just one night of your delights i’d gladly meet the end
and happily take the memory to death’s eternal dreams
formerly unbeknownst to me would be a life redeemed
