lyrics wash away with waves as sunlight fills the sea
but
every word i’ve ever heard is still inside of me
words
required for the fire expressed upon the page
of
the feelings you inspire wherein i try to stage
the
poetry i write for you like lyrics for a song
that
i can sing and finally bring your arms where they belong
where
i would change to sweet refrains about your loveliness
till
all that i can ever sing are lyrics of your kiss
