shakespeare never had such a muse

all day long i sing your song in subtle shades of blue

within each line you’ll find the rhyme is always about you

the stars draw near so they can hear my moonlight serenade

which i reprise with each sunrise with words which you have made

me speak with knees made weak as my eyes imbibe your beauty

intoxicating all my thoughts till i’m absolutely

head over heels, enthralled and thrilled with everything you are

my heart possessed within the quest to never linger far

from where your kiss upon my lips is more than just a dream

the thread of every woven touch is sewn in each seam

as whispered longings finally shout fulfilled within your arms

all the fire of desire burning without harm

and every yearning finds a home a place where it can rest

the yielding seed of every need harvest in suppleness
