restless sighs

and all the rhythm in my words is harmonized with you

a seed was planted at first sight and everyday it grew

into the poetry of love inspired by your charms

where whims and wishes were written to win you to my arms

 

sweet words obsessed with a caress upon your silken skin

and every kiss, eternal bliss that we begin again

eyes that smile all the while my words embrace your heart

words to linger like my fingers whenever we’re apart

 

i claim the fame within your name, beauty personified

upon the evening you were born the arch angels all cried

to see perfection in mankind not seen since the fall

they envy me each time they see how much i have it all

 

i watch you sleep amid the words i whisper next to you

wherein the moonlight’s radiance bathes you in subtle hues

and when the sunlight winds its way within the woven sky

i see you stir and saturate my heart with restless sighs
